who are these peoples?
Kim Guyer

Kim has an acute eye for detail. A scene or a story or a space need the right touch in order to be alive. Kim finds those magical life-seasonings.

Kim is intuitive, as a storyteller and as a person. She is a natural guide and pathfinder, understanding where we are and where we ought to be.

Owen Swerkstrom

Owen's been making movies since he could hold a camera. Mechanical manual focus lenses, practical effects, editing in blender, there are things he insists on doing in unusual/cumbersome ways, because he loves the hands-on process.

Owen is a font of both half-ideas and digging-too-deep tendencies.

technobabble...

When making this webite, Owen had a specific idea in his head about the braid you see on the left. It could be photographed yarn, or possibly drawn, but was meant to represent the stable mobius braid which our high selves feel like we are, looping around and around this existence.

His drawings were not working. His photographs were not working. (He even printed and cut sine waves to help line up the yarn, it was a whole thing.) So he did what he usually does when something's not working: he wrote some code. This code.

The threads of light you see back there are not a static image; they're the output of a program which your web browser ran when this page loaded. You and your computer (or greasy slab) are now part of the process Flying Cat uses to create. Good job!

The Cats

Many flufferbutts have touched our lives and our hearts.

The kitties who live(d) with us are tangled and woven amongst our consciousness; it can be difficult to tell where we end and they begin. The fluff helps.

The cat seen and heard in the introduction to our movies is Murphy. She lived only ten years, but continues to burn bright and help us along this life.

Autumn (Asterisk) taught us that Murphy only taught us a little bit about "tortietude". She has sweetness in her, but is not what one would call a sweet cat. She is a daddy's girl, a drama queen, and above all else, a lover of cheese.

Book is a big fluffy sweetheart, and a dangerously handsome little man. He is a momma's boy, inexplicably sneaky given his bulk and brightness, and loves to warm himself by the fire.
